Natural stone being a superlative construction and finishing material due to its quality characteristics, symbolizes prestige, durability, and quality that lasts. Kyrgyz Too-Tash JSC offers products made of shell limestone, granite, and marble.
Shell Limestone – Limestone has a wide application in construction for erection of walls and partitions. In addition, shell limestone is used as a raw material for production of lime and other cohesive materials, and also as a component for asphalt mixtures in powder form. Shell limestone can be easily sawn, spalled, shaped and drilled, it also can undergo abrasive machining or shock treatment; due to its high porosity shell limestone shows good adhesion to plaster and masonry mortar. Shell limestone can be painted with oil, water, and other paints. Aesthetically pleasing material for cladding of buildings and interior decoration.

Shell limestone is composed of unbroken mollusc shells and their fragments cemented into a homogeneous porous aggregate. To be more exact, it is a light-colored often white, yellow or gray sedimentary rock, mainly formed by crushed and unbroken shells of different size, starting from microscopic 0.1 mm to unbroken 3-5 cm shells, entirely composed of calcite with minor impurities of clay, quartz, and other minerals. Bulk density of shell limestone is 1,100-2,200 kg/m3; Shore hardness ranges between 16 and 22; porosity depends on the type of material and varies from 22 to 60%, while isolated porosity makes 40% of open porosity; weighted water saturation varies over a wide range from 4% to 30%, but can be more. Thermal conductivity index equals to 0.25-0.85 kcal/m2h°C, air permeability is 14-320 L/m2h respectively. Ultimate compressive strength is 4-280 kg/cm2; frost-resistance reaches 15-35 cycles of freezing and thawing.

Granite – rigid, very hard and resistant igneous rock composed mainly of four minerals: quartz, feldspar, mica and hornblende. First signs of failures of the best types of granite can be detected after 500+ years of useful life, that's why it is often called the "eternal" stone. Granite is highly resistant to friction, compression and abrasion. It is very dense (2.6-2.7 t/m3) and durable natural stone (its strength is two times more than that of marble). Granite is a perfect material for cladding of buildings, stairs, and embankments due to its resistance to atmospheric effects and acids.

Granite has an average density of 2,600 ... 2,800 kg/m3, poor porosity (up to 1.5%), insignificant water absorption (0.5%), good abrasion resistance, ultimate compressive strength is 90 ...280 MPa and more. Durability of granite (especially its fine-granular types) is rather high: in some cases, the service life of structures reaches 1,000 years and more. Granite is usually easily polished, keeping its mirror surface on the exterior cladding for a long time. Granite is easily chipped, acquiring various chipping textures. Chiseled granite textures advantageously emphasize monumentality of structures achieving an interesting decorative effect of play of light and shadow on the surface of stone, sometimes with sparkles of mica platelets.

Marble – metamorphic rock composed of two main minerals: calcite and dolomite. Marble is one of the most ancient finishing materials. It has many useful properties for construction purposes. First signs of aging in white marble became visible only after one or two hundred years. Due to its soft and viscous structure marble is easily processed, ground and polished, at the same time, being resistant to splitting. Water-resisting property is one of the main reason for using marble for decoration purposes. This stone is suitable for building cladding and often applied for decoration of bathrooms.

Marble is a carbonate conglomerate, carbonate breccia, high-density dolomite. Organic matter can be often meet in its structure. Natural marble has average hardness, however, it is easily polished. Marble density is 2,650-2,900 kg/m3. Compression resistance is 500-2,500 kg/cm2. Water absorption index is 0.15 - 0.50%. Mineral abrasion capacity ranges from 0.40 to 3.20 g/cm2. Porosity of rock is 0.6-3.3%. Minerals with heterogeneous structure have low frost resistance: about 25 freeze-thaw cycles. Characteristics of marble show that the most durable stone with the best polishing properties is a marble with a fine-grained structure and serrate grain coupling. The color of this mineral is determined by impurities in it. The vast majority of samples are fancy colored. The shape of a pattern depends both on the stone structure and direction chosen for monolith cutting.
Crushed Stone - construction material produced by crushing of solid rock, gravel and other type of rocks into smaller components. Crushed stone is one of the main natural stone materials used for construction purposes. We produce washed crushed stone with 5-10 mm, 5-20 mm fraction size.
Rock Fines - the smallest fraction of crushed product (particle size less than 5 mm) is called rock fines. We produce rock fines with 0-0.5 mm fraction size.
